Rose Byrne's perfectly perfect (and pretty) updo: Here's how to get the look

Striking just the right balance, Rose Byrne’s updo is polished and lady-like, yet totally wearable. With the red lips, she is trés chic. It’s actually so dreamy — and easy — that this is exactly what I’m sporting to a friend’s cocktail party this week.

Here’s how John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh created Byrne’s snazzy look:

Step 1: Josh applied John Frieda Frizz-Ease Serum Original Formula, $10 to soaking wet hair to fight frizz right from the start. Smooth locks are key to pulling this off without looking messy.

Step 2: To continue working on a sleek, shiny finish, Josh gave Byrne a blowout, working hair in sections with a round, boar-bristle brush.

Step 3: After finishing her blowout, Josh applied John Frieda Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Crème, $7 to smooth any imperfections and leave hair looking extra soft.

Step 4: Leaving her bangs and a few pieces around her face, he teased her hair at the crown and pulled back it into a ponytail at the middle of her head.

Step 5: Finally, Josh twisted her ponytail into a chignon and secured it with bobby pins.

Easy peasy, right? What’s the perfect occasion to wear this style?
